Bret Michaels stole the show
I have always been a huge 38 Special fan. I also enjoy Yoasobi. Bret Michaels, I had never seen but his story is phenomenal considering the recent illness he had. I saw them years ago before the 1st crash that took Ronnie and Steve.
Both 38 Special and Bret Michaels had much more energy that Yoasobi. Great sound, great energy! Loved Bret getting bluesy with his harmonica. Bret was all over the stage. Bret and his band rocked the house. From my standpoint, Bret Michaels stole the show. You would never know he had been sick and you could tell he was appreciating every moment. Bret said he would be back next year, as it will be the 25th anniversary of him making music.
I don't know who was mixing the sound for 38 Special, but it was not as crisp and clear as the sound for Yoasobi and Bret Michaels. Each band got progressively louder in volume, but you should never sacrifice clarity for volume. If it was a different person mixing the sound for 38 Special, they didn't do as good a job as they could have. In addition, they could have pulled back the volume a little, especially when 38 Special's new keyboard player had his time to shine.
